Another long-time Tesla employee is leaving the automaker, which continues to lose senior staff. Tesla executive Sreela Venkataratnam, who has been with the automaker since 2013, announced her departure in a LinkedIn post this week. In her post, she praised the company but mentioned in the comments below that working there was "not for the faint of heart."
Venkataratnam described her 11 years at Tesla as "nothing short of extraordinary." She expressed her pride in the growth of the $700 million company and added that she would take a break before looking for other opportunities.
"Working at Tesla is definitely not for the faint of heart," Venkataratnam wrote in response to a comment by Jason Wheeler, Tesla's former CFO. The work culture at the company is notoriously demanding. Some employees report sleeping in their cars to avoid commuting during the company's grueling production cycles or after long shifts on the factory floor.
