$19.20.... If you had bought Tesla shares on the day that they were released, that's what they would have cost you.

Fast forward less than 10 years and today you could sell those shares for over $575 each. That's 30 times your money back!!!

This has taken Tesla's Market Cap (the total value of all their shares together) to over $100 Billion. Let's put that into perspective, that figure is nearly 3 times the value of Ford and more than double the value of their nearest US competitor GM.

Why? Is it because the Tesla Cybertruck is the sexiest, most amazing vehicle ever conceived? (Not for me, whilst I'm a complete sci-fi/cyberpunk fan, I still think it looks terrible.... if only it could fly....)

Personally, I think the reason is simple. Elon Musk is driving innovation that would have taken many decades to come if the legacy car companies had been left to do it

Elon Musk - visionary

Electrification is the future of the car, renewable energy sources are the future of energy. We need visionaries like Musk who put their money where their mouths are to make the world better, and people are willing to back him and his vision.

What did you do today to drive things forward? What did your employer do? If you think about these questions and the answer is "nothing" or "not enough", maybe you need to change your situation. Get a new job with a company that wants to help the future be better than the past.
