Tesla- Concluding Supply Chain Internship (Fall 2023)

Concluding my internship at Tesla in December 2023, I'm profoundly grateful for the enriching experience with the Supply Chain Material Planning team. It's been an honor to contribute to Tesla's mission of 'accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy' during my time at the Lathrop Megafactory.

During my tenure, I strategically planned material requirements for Megapack Production, overseeing 83 critical parts. Leveraging Tesla's MRP system, I effectively managed Economic Order Quantities (EOQ) and Safety Stock levels, ensuring timely shipments while maintaining effective communication with 23 global suppliers. Notable achievements include implementing JIT-oriented overflow reports to optimize inventory levels and cross-functionally coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders and suppliers for seamless integration during engineering changes and new product launches.

I'm deeply grateful for the exemplary leadership of Devendra Borse and Brian Naae . Their guidance and support have been instrumental in my professional growth and the success of our team's endeavors. Their mentorship has shaped my understanding of supply chain dynamics and inspired me to strive for excellence. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to Lexi Chin for her support during the recruiting and onboarding process.

Among the crucial skills honed during my time at Tesla:

• Attention to Detail / Accuracy: Precision is paramount at Tesla, where even minor errors can have significant consequences. Developing a keen attention to detail and ensuring high accuracy in tasks helps uphold Tesla's standards of excellence and quality.
• Communication: Clear and efficient communication fosters collaboration and ensures alignment across teams, crucial for Tesla's interconnected operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working seamlessly with multiple internal and external stakeholders promotes innovation and facilitates holistic problem-solving in Tesla's interdisciplinary environment.

My internship experience at Tesla has deepened my understanding of supply chain dynamics and reinforced my commitment to continuous learning and growth.
