Yes, that's what the President called yet another school shooting!
A terrible thing for which he has the power to do something -- something, Mr. President, do SOMETHING!
So many know what needs to be done -- arming school teachers with more guns is the dumbest suggestion there could be!
Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan said the shooting was a "call to action" to address school safety.
"Although our pain remains fresh and the facts remain uncertain, today's horrible events should not be an excuse to pause our conversation about school safety. Instead, it must serve as a call to action," he said in a statement.
This is what we can do!
I was behind this vehicle yesterday. Look around you when you're stuck in traffic -- lots of life's' answers are all around you and even on bumper stickers! Yes, we can take a stand and STAND WITH STUDENTS!
The Sandy Hook and North Park shootings were elementary school shootings -- what voice -- what power before, during, and after these shootings did those little children have? Grown-ups did die in those shootings -- did any adults take a stand before or after?
More power to the students taking a stand!!
An adult did take a stand during the Great Mills High School shooting two days ago.
"School resource officer Blaine Gaskill responded to the scene in less than a minute," St. Mary's County Sheriff Tim Cameron said. Gaskill fired a round at the shooter, and the shooter fired a round simultaneously, Cameron said. "He responded exactly as we train our personnel to respond."
But, still, another life was lost long after that young man (the shooter) got lost. Lost somewhere as a boy. Lost and forlorn enough to believe that after he lost his love -- that taking the life of the person he once loved -- the person that once loved him and took away her love -- he must have believed that nothing was left -- and killing her was, therefore, the answer. (yes, that's my personal belief about why this happened)
Kids were shot in front of other kids -- that's the big story -- and one hurting kid was shot and killed -- WITH A GUN. That's the real story. TAKE A STAND.
HURT PEOPLE -- HURT PEOPLE. And yes, Mr. President -- IT IS AN F'EN TERRIBLE THING!
DO SOMETHING!!!
