Terrace design with barbecue area. Helpful Tips!
A variety of terrace designs are gaining increasing popularity. But projects of a terrace with a barbecue are especially successful. Stylish barbecue design allows you to harmoniously fit into any terrace design.
Layout rules
In order for the structure to turn out not only reliable, but also functional, it is necessary to determine its proportions. The terrace area should be large enough to accommodate a table, chairs and a stationary barbecue oven. The optimal size of such a terrace varies from 8 to 11 m2.
Remember that exits to the terrace are made both from the street and from inside the building.
If you are making a stationary barbecue oven, consider installing it so that smoke during cooking does not go to the rest.
How to decide on a barbecue design.
Stationary brick barbecues are built with the back wall to the blank wall of the house or to the fence.
Brick BBQ on the terrace of the house offers a wide range of colors, made in white, terracotta, brown, sand and other shades. In addition, it is not at all necessary to choose brickwork as cladding, it can be anything: from glossy tiles to rough tiles, as well as clinker, marble and granite materials. Artificial stone trim looks very harmonious.
When equipping a workplace, make a barbecue area for cutting meat, fish, vegetables and a sink here.
Floor material. If a stationary barbecue oven will be located on the terrace, it should be noted that the floor under and around the oven is tiled for fire safety purposes. If you want wood flooring, you can only tile a small area around the barbecue or treat the wood flooring with a refractory impregnation.
Lighting. The terrace, like any room in the house, needs to be illuminated, because you will surely spend warm summer evenings here. Most importantly, lighting should be made of insulated and waterproof components.
And of course, don't forget about the decor. It is he who creates the atmosphere and completes the image of the terrace.
Pillows and textiles. Now on sale you can find many different pillows, chair covers and tablecloths with different patterns. Use water-repellent materials - so they are not afraid of rain.
Fences. You can fence the terrace with trellises, columns, picturesque climbing plants, which can be an additional decoration of a cozy street corner.
Flowers. Of course, the best decoration will be flowers: potted, flower beds, shrubs - whatever. And the more there will be, the more pleasant, fresher and shade your terrace will be.
Stylistic decor. If your house is built in a certain style (for example, in the style of Provence or country), then the veranda can be decorated in the same spirit.
