Terminated??? Now what???

After 7 years working in Chile as General Manager of a multinational company, responsible for the operations in 3 countries, at the beginning of 2023 I was informed that my services were no longer needed...

Despite receiving a financially interesting exit package and also having the outplacement services paid by the company, the news of being fired is always impacting.

But it is always important to reflect on this moment of inflection and try to reinvent yourself - in my case, I created a daily routine of physical exercises (that I had put aside to have more dedication to work), online training (Linkedin, Coursera, Edx/Havard, etc) and, mainly, dedicate more time to the family.

The outplacement process is hard work and generates anxiety - many hours are dedicated to contacting your network (through Linkedin, e-mails, whatsapp, etc), searching for job openings in several platforms and, eventually, participating in interviews.

But it is important to always be confident, never give up and follow this daily routine - after all I am "selling" the best product to the market, that is, ME.
