Teresa May hints at diesel scrappage
British Prime Minister Teresa May has hinted at a (diesel scrappage?) scheme to compensate drivers who were misled into buying diesel cars because they were good for the environment.
Teresa May said "I'm very conscious of the fact that past governments have encouraged people to buy diesel cars and we need to take that into account when we look at what we do in the future."
Unfortunately, after nothing in the recent budget, she did not set out any specific plans, but there have been reports of a scrappage scheme that could pay people to get rid of their diesel vehicles.
Bring it on!
