Ten Truths That The World Is Ignorant Of
First Truth: China has the right to govern itself as it pleases. China's governance is none of the world's business.
Second Truth: China is a peaceful nation. It has fought no wars since 1979. It has no history of global expansionism, unlike Europe and America.
Third Truth: China is no threat to the world. It respects all nations. It trades with all nations. It does not export its political ideology.
Fourth Truth: Taiwan is part of China; it is purely China's domestic matter. The UN and the USA both acknowledge this. The world subscribes to the One China principle.
Fifth Truth: China is one of six countries with territorial claims in the South China Sea. Disagreements and skirmishes are inevitable. Disputes will likely be settled diplomatically.
Sixth Truth: China is doing more to fight pollution and climate change than any other country. Massive reforestation. Biggest producer of green energy. World's largest EV manufacturer and consumer. On a per capita basis, Australia, United States, Canada, and South Korea produce more CO2 emissions (source: CNN).
Seventh Truth: Dozens of countries are grateful for China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). They now have good infrastructure which aids in their economic development. Over 150 countries participate in the BRI. The debt trap myth has been thoroughly debunked.
Eighth Truth: China's military modernisation is for national defence, not expansionism. China faces threats from Western powers such as USA and NATO (naval exercises near Chinese waters; arming Taiwan; additional military bases in Philippines, AUKUS, etc.).
Ninth Truth: The West has never provided credible evidence for human rights violations in Xinjiang. Multiple investigations, such as by the OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation), have cleared China.
Tenth Truth: China's government garners the highest level of support in the world.
According to the 2023 Edelman Trust Barometer, 89% of Chinese trust their government compared to 56% for France, 51% for Canada, 47% for Germany, 46% for Italy, 42% for USA, 37% for UK, 36% for Spain, and 33% for Japan.
A November 2019 Ipsos survey shows that 94 percent of Chinese believe their country is on the right track.

According to the Global Happiness 2023 survey from Ipsos, China is the happiest country in the world at 91% compared to 76% for USA, 74% for Canada and France, and 70% for UK.
According to Latana’s Democracy Perception Index 2023, China is the 6th most democratic nation on earth, well ahead of Germany, Spain, Canada, Italy, UK, USA, France, and Japan. The only people who are qualified to judge whether or not a country is democratic are the people being governed in that country.
Bonus Truth: China's Zero Covid policy worked to save lives. According to Johns Hopkins, America had 1,123,836 Covid deaths for a per capita death rate of 341.11 per 100,000 population. China had 101,056 Covid deaths for a per capita death rate of 7.16 per 100,000 population.
America’s per capita Covid death rate was 47.64 times greater than China’s.
It’s worth noting that other advanced economies did not fare much better than America:
They all performed far worse than China.
