Employee engagement reflects employees' involvement and enthusiasm in their work and workplace. Gallup has found that engaged business teams drive positive outcomes within organizations.
According to Gallup's State of the Global Workplace report, the percentage of engaged employees globally, those who feel involved in and enthusiastic about their work, remains at 23%.
Surprisingly, most employees are not engaged (62%) - those who show up, do the bare minimum and are uninspired by their work
Since I work with an international non-profit ministry, I'm curious about the percentage of engaged employees for a ministry. I assume it would be much higher. Do you know of any research on this? Please share.
Only a few ministries have a Public Engagement Manager. The only one I know of is the Middle East broadcast media ministry?SAT-7. I invited Juliana Sfeir Sfeir to share her experience as a Public Engagement Manager and Brand Manager.

Highly engaged employees are more likely to embody the company's values and contribute positively to its public perception. Maintaining strong employee engagement is essential for fostering a positive, trustworthy public image.

How does low employee engagement affect the business's public branding image?
Low employee engagement can significantly and negatively impact a business's public branding and image. When employees are disengaged, they are less likely to be motivated, productive, or enthusiastic about their work. This can lead to poor customer service, lower quality of products, or missed deadlines. Negative customer experiences often spread through word-of-mouth, online reviews, or social media, tarnishing the company's reputation.
Disengaged employees may not act as brand ambassadors. They are less inclined to speak positively about the organization, both in their personal networks and on social platforms. This lack of enthusiasm can lead to a disconnect between the brand's intended public image and how the outside world perceives it.
Here are ten key benefits I see for having a Public Engagement Manager:
For SAT-7, what happens off-screen is just as important as what happens on screen. A core part of the SAT-7 ministry to viewers across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is a commitment to supporting them in their lives and faith through dedicated teams that offer prayer, advice, and counseling.

Many organizations focus on name recognition but forget public relations and engagement, which are the tools to turn name recognition into trust, relationship and third-party credibility. Thanks for sharing!
