Ten Commandments of Project Management

  1. If you're serious about Timelines, then you must be serious about Resources.
  2. If you're serious about Backlogs, then you must be serious about Requirements.
  3. If you're serious about Commitment, then you must be serious about People.
  4. If you're serious about Agile, then you must be serious about daily Scrum.
  5. Don't allow assumptions to stifle testing.
  6. Adopt complexity only when proper Governance is in place.
  7. Always welcome constructive criticism, risks, failures, defects and disappointments.
  8. Repeat the things that work, innovate and promote Change to what does not.
  9. Recognize the cost of cutting corners, specially when you cannot afford to be overbudget.
  10. Focus on the only on the details in which paint a bigger picture.
