Interesting that the same strategic Geological features that impact countries' historical position in trade and geopolitics are played out in the world's internet traffic. Even the cloud can't escape strategic geographic choke points. Internet traffic moves around the world in many of the same historic trade routes. Chokepoints and single points of failure, not so good.
