Here we are in July which means, for those of us whose financial year is the same as the calendar year, we’re at the mid-point.
How would you reflect on your sales performance in the 1st?half? Given the chance, what would you have done differently in the 1st?6x months of the year, and/or in preparing for them???If the answer is “nothing”, then this article isn’t for you!
A colleague of mine recently asked me “Do I think most sales organisations focus on the right things?”
My short answer is "no". To expand on that, I'd say that some sales organisations focus on some of the right things, some of the time. Many have too few, too many, and/or the wrong KPI's to drive success. Many lack the clarity of who their customers are in terms of which ones are profitable, which ones have growth potential and which ones are holding them back!
Back to your sales organisation and your reflections on H1: It could be that you’ve learnt lessons and plan to make changes.??In which case, what steps do you have in place to ensure that you do indeed make those changes?
