TEMPTATIONS KNOW NO BOUNDS

Businesses, organizations and dreams hinge simply on whether the person involved is disciplined enough. The factor that determines whether someone will be successful in his/her pursuits is how much the person can restrain short term pleasure for future treasure.

However, things will never land on the lap of that kind of person, challenges are always there. One of the challenges is the temptations which will often be used to test how disciplined the person carrying the vision or assignment is or can be.

Follow me closely...

If Joseph could be tempted, it serves as proof to us that anyone could be tempted. This also serves as proof to us that PURPOSE doesn’t and can’t eliminate temptations but it can only allow you to have the discipline to resist and rise above the temptations that come.

It is important to acknowledge this in order to help ourselves come to the level of reflecting and working on our vulnerabilities instead of running away from them. This should encourage us to accept the probabilities that exist as well as ensuring that we are more aware and apt to manage the complexities.

It is for this reason that designing the right environment to enhance your dreams is very essential. The right environment will enable you to set up systems that could help you to handle these temptations (challenges) or keep them away from you.

Setting up this environment (which involves mental, physical, spiritual, etc.) will systematically place you in a zone of continuous learning, growth and service. This is what king David probably forgot before he found himself on the top of the story building that led him to Bathsheba (Uriah’s wife).

Once we pick up a mind-set and build routines which enhances continuous and never ending improvement (CANEI), we can be sure that we will be so properly structured that temptations will find it difficult to find us. Mind you, I am not saying that you have to become “perfect”.

Pay attention to this please...

It is vital to know that there are different ways of addressing these temptations which are rather imminent. While some might make some obvious moves, some people might make some intangible moves which still play a role somehow in tweaking their environment.

Even when sometimes we feel we are not fighting them, we might actually be fighting by not fighting. The bottom line is for us to understand the possibility and the need to keep plugging away. In the “Good Person with Stamina” philosophy which I preach I believe this is key.

“Good Persons with Stamina” doesn’t mean that the person has to be perfect, rather it points to the fact that the person tries everything humanly possible to do what is right. As a matter of fact, trying to as much as making efforts to say or do what is right is good action to an extent.

So I am proposing that as much as Christ Jesus is the one living in us now that we are born again, it is also good to know that Christ didn’t come and carry Joseph from the place where Potiphar’s wife met him, he used his legs to run away.

Some things don’t require prayer, what they need is your action which results from effort. The effort you make is a good start point, it is better than doing nothing.

In conclusion...

Acknowledge that we all can be tempted.

Make a decision to make efforts to rise beyond these temptations.

Do well to tailor your environment to enhance and support your efforts to beat temptation.

Rely on God and Christ Jesus to strengthen you but be courageous to also make the physical moves.
