Temperature Rise Report of WYLED700/500
Shanghai Weyuan Medical Device Co., Ltd
A surgical light & examination light manufacturer with 21 years experience with CE, ISO13485, IEC60601 approved
In?radiometry,?irradiance?is the?radiant flux?received?by a?surface?per unit area. The?unit?of irradiance is the?watt?per square metre (W/m2). Irradiance characterizes the amount of radiant energy received per unit time per unit area on the surface irradiated by radiant energy. It has directly relationship with temperature rising.
According to the standard YY0627-2008 of the surgical?light, the irradiation value of surgical?light?shall not exceed 6MW/㎡. Weyuan WYLED700/500 is 0.0016MW/㎡.
Below tables will show the temperature rise on?the operator's surface and the changes of other relevant data during the operation.
We choose four different materials to test the temperature rise among stainless steel, PU leather, skin and insulation paper. Below tables will show the temperature rise on?its surface in different time and the irradiance by the same light beam.
Conclusion:
1.?Under?ambient temperature of 33 degrees, Weyuan surgical lights’?temperature increase?on the skin?is 1.2 degrees Celsius .
2.?Under the condition of constant irradiance value, the temperature rise varies from?different materials.
3.?With good thermal conductivity, such as stainless steel, PU leather and skin, the temperature rise is low. With poor thermal conductivity, such as insulation paper, the temperature rise is high.
PS: According to experiments, ambient temperature, airflow affect on the temperature rise, too.??
