Tell Me A Story
Yvonne C. Freeman
I'm a Bible Christian. An author, poet and song writer posting poetry from my books inspired by the written word of God
“Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17
A story whose time has come, a story of nine lives but for the grace of God I’m still alive. Truth, honesty, integrity without such your life is a tragedy. Tell me a story not full of lies. If I can learn something from your story I might survive. A testimony of truth, that which happened to you. If you can survive then so can I. Your test becomes your testimony. You pass the test each time you share your story. Testify.
The universe uncovers your purpose in life. You'll hold several positions before you reach your destiny. One day you’re a bus boy the next you’re the Chief Chef at a restaurant. Things happen for a reason most often it’s a growing experience. Pay attention to every failure every error, mistakes don’t last forever. You and only you are in charge of your destiny - don’t surrender to society. The best in life is yet to come if you don’t give up—have faith, believe, just hold on.
You’re only as sick as those deep dark secrets you keep. Tell your story it’s not yours to keep. Put a voice to your story let the healing process begin. Share—it’s our obligation to one another, freeing yourself and liberating others. Life-long lessons etched in your brain. A weary body feet don’t travel down that path again. Tell others give them a chance to learn from your experiences.
Tell me a story—how does God fit in? He is my life-line an ever present help in crisis when I’m in distress, reaching out for help. No one heard my cry most often friends and family were part of the problem. Who do you turn to when flesh can’t help flesh? The Lord heard my cry, rescued me from myself.
Let me tell you a story one of many in my life. The longer you live the more stories there are to tell of hope, faith and survival. This story is my favorite it’s about Jesus Christ who saved my life. He loved me when no one else would. He forgave me for what I did. Open your bible and read all about him. The Sacrificial Lamb of God giving us a second chance to clean up our life. He set me free from those deep dark secrets that almost killed me. Night or day he heard my prayers only when I said “In Jesus Name”.
I’ll tell you how my story will end although I haven’t crossed the finish line; happily ever after with Jesus Christ my best friend.
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” – Luke 18:1
