Yeah well, tell me something I don’t know… one kid says to another in defiance.
A phrase I am sure many of us have heard and probably have said on several occasions.
There seems to come a time in our life’s journey where we are ready for the next thing, the next bit of information that piece of wisdom that will amaze me or compel me to adjust the course of my very existence. That phrase and reality can be intimidating. But this morning I am going to defy that statement and do the opposite. I am going to tell you something you already know; I am going to tell you something that will not amaze you and possibly have no impact on the trajectory of your life or the life of those around you. It's just one of the many things you already know.
Here it comes (drum roll please) “People matter most”. See, there you have it, not amazing or profound just something that we need to hear on a regular basis. We can get caught up in process and forget about the people.
So tell me, and others, something I DO know, tell me something that I needed to be reminded of, tell me something that I just heard but still am not acting on. Show me that you care, by telling me something that I already know.
