Reviewers from the Texas State University screened 151 abstracts to determine the relevancy and significance of the effectiveness of telemedicine in the management of chronic heart disease. Their results indicated that telemedicine is highly associated with a significant reduction in hospitalisation and readmission, and improved mortality, cost-effectiveness and health outcomes.
