Telecommunications masts - should we be worried about them placed in our compound?

Telecommunications masts are some of the infrastructure you are likely to see in your neighbourhood. In most cases. the masts are telco specific, the mast mounted for Globacom may not work for Airtel and vice versa. I do not know much about telecommunications masts but from my little experience teaching Data communications, networking and Internet concepts they are signals amplifiers. Of course, there are cheaper alternatives to setting up masts, for example, tizeti uses an antenna like receiver attached to an inverter and powered by rechargeable battery for its data source. At least that is what i got from them when i signed up and it works perfectly i there is public power supply. I will do a search on masts and see what new things i could learn from such expedition
