Telecom Liechtenstein is modernizing its mobile network with 5G technology in partnership with Nokia. The new 5G network will offer high-speed data rates, low latency, and energy efficiency. In January 2023, Telecom Liechtenstein received approval to expand its 5G network.
3.????Vodafone gives 5G network slicing the royal treatment
Vodafone said it’s the first time any U.K. operator has provided a slice of its public 5G standalone (SA) network for a major broadcast event in the country. It will be working with broadcasting partner ITN, dedicating a slice of the 5G SA network to ITN for the transfer of the live coronation broadcast coverage from Westminster to ITN’s newsroom several miles away in Gray’s Inn Road, London. There, it will be shared across the nation and then worldwide.

Then, T-Mobile announced in March that it will?acquire Ka’ena Corporation?– the company that operates Mint Mobile, Ultra Mobile, and Plum. Plum is an MVNE that helps MVNOs launch services. Ultra Mobile had roughly 750,000 subscribers as of 2017, Wave7 Research has reported.

Apple and Google jointly submitted a proposed industry specification to help combat the misuse of Bluetooth location-tracking devices for unwanted tracking. The first-of-its-kind specification will allow Bluetooth location-tracking devices to be compatible with unauthorised tracking detection and alerts across iOS and Android platforms. Samsung, Tile, Chipolo, eufy Security, and Pebblebee have expressed support for the draft specification, which offers best practices and instructions for manufacturers, should they choose to build these capabilities into their products.
16.?2Africa Cable Lands In Jeddah And Yanbu, Saudi Arabia Enhancing The Middle-East Connectivity With Europe And Africa
As part of the 2Africa subsea cable consortium, center3 and Meta have announced the landing of the longest subsea cable project in the world at two of the planned four landing locations in Saudi Arabia: Jeddah, and Yanbu. The 2Africa subsea cable, with over 45,000 km of length, will be the longest ever deployed worldwide. The record-breaking cable system will connect 33 countries by the completion of the project in 2024, delivering reliable connectivity and internet services across three continents: Africa, Asia, and Europe. The 2Africa subsea cable is expected to make four landings in Saudi Arabia; Jeddah and Yanbu, which were just completed; followed by Duba later this year, and Al Khobar in 2024.
