7.????Bullitt taps Motorola for satellite messaging phone launch

Bullitt Group, the British manufacturer specializing in rugged mobile phones, is revealing a few more details about its two-way satellite messaging service. As promised, it’s using the CES 2023 show in Las Vegas as the news-launching pad. T-Mobile US Inc. is considering an acquisition of Mint Mobile, the budget wireless provider backed by actor Ryan Reynolds, according to people familiar with the matter. The second-largest US mobile service provider has been in talks with Mint Mobile, said the people, who asked to not be identified because the matter isn’t public. No final decision has been made and closely held Mint Mobile could opt to remain independent or sell to another party, the people added.

21.????Indian giant Jio makes cloud gaming push

Mukesh Ambani, one of Asia’s richest men, has made a splash in many industries over the past three decades. It now appears he has set his eyes on a new sector: Gaming. JioGames, part of Reliance Industries’ telecom platform Jio, said on Thursday it has inked a 10-year strategic partnership with French firm Gamestream. The French firm, which offers clients white-labeling cloud gaming solutions, will work with the Indian giant to make an “ambitious” play on bringing cloud gaming to “1.4 billion” Indians, Jio said.
