Tekmar Group Plc FY20 Results

Today, we have announced our financial results for the year ending 31.03.2020 or FY20. Despite the current challenging environment, we have achieved a fantastic set of results with a record revenue of ￡41m increasing 46% from last year. For me personally, I have decided that after 12-years of leading this incredible team, my intentions are to step down before the end of this current financial year FY21. 

To all my friends, colleagues, clients, suppliers, investors, stakeholders, and everyone who has supported me and the Tekmar team over the many years, I would like to sincerely thank you and hope we remain in contact going forwards.

I want to absolutely reassure you this was my own personal decision. After over a decade of growing Tekmar from a small family start-up to where we are, today remains to me to be an astonishing story. As a team, we developed a market-leading technology establishing the largest track record in offshore wind with an outstanding brand recognised the world over, we completed a management buy-out of Tekmar Energy in 2011 backed kindly by Elysian Capital, and then successfully floated for ￡65m on the London Stock Exchange becoming Tekmar Group Plc seven years later (June 2018). More impressively we have then doubled in size within the first 2-years (see image attached). For me now, this feels like the right time to hand over the reins. 

I have had the honour and privilege to lead this fantastic organisation over the past 12-years and work with so many talented people. I am confident, as are all the management, that Tekmar will continue to prosper long into the future under new leadership.

I will remain an active supporter, shareholder, and strong advocate of Tekmar and all who continue to support the business. The future for Tekmar remains very positive and is an exciting journey to be part of.

Ally, who has been part of the team for the past 7-years will be stepping in as Executive Chairman and my only immediate plans are to support him with whatever is needed to ensure a smooth and orderly handover is achieved.
