It's been a bumper couple of months for business deals at Teesside Airport. We secured the first tenant at our £200million Business Park South, while two long-term tenants have gone on to further success here. We also welcomed a VIP and got a Net Zero boost thanks to planning permission for our Hydrogen Refuelling Station.

Car Repair Giant Expands With New Teesside Centre At Airport Business Park

A multiple award-winning vehicle repairer is set to create 25 jobs with the launch of a state-of-the-art facility at Teesside International Airport Business Park – its fifth new centre in 2024.

National firm ABL 1 Touch has been announced as the tenant of the first unit constructed within the £200million Business Park South development, marking a milestone in the park’s growth.

Draken Secure Teesside Airport Future Operations As Part Of New Defence Deal

Aviation services and technology firm Draken has secured its Teesside Airport operations for the future after agreeing a new deal with the Ministry of Defence.

The company has confirmed it will renew its agreement with the MOD – securing its Teesside operations for another four years after the firm signed a new £173million contract with the MoD to support military training with the RAF.

Teesside Lays Down Marker For Aviation Industry With TUI Maintenance Deal

Teesside’s reputation as a growing centre for aircraft maintenance has received another big boost after aviation firm Willis secured a second deal with a major airline.

TUI, one of the UK’s largest operators, has signed a long-term agreement with Willis Aviation to see maintenance services carried out on its narrow-body aircraft at Teesside.

King Charles Jets Into Teesside Airport For Major Regional Visit

Teesside Airport has today (13 February) welcomed King Charles and Queen Camilla through its terminal as part of the Royals’ visit to Tees Valley.

The monarchs arrived at 12:10, hitting the runway before departing for a packed tour of the region. They dropped in at Teesworks to see the progress on SeAH Wind’s £950million offshore wind monopile production facility and headed to an event taking place in the centre of Middlesbrough.

Planning Permission Granted For Pioneering Hydrogen Refuelling Station At Teesside International Airport

Work has started on creating a pioneering hydrogen refuelling station at Teesside International Airport.

The new Element 2 hydrogen refuelling station, near the former St George Hotel, will refuel all hydrogen road vehicles (trucks, vans, cars) plus airport vehicles, with both 700 and 350 bar refuelling.
