TeenTech Innovation Hack in Fareham
We had a really inspiring day with young people from the Isle of Wight and Hampshire this week. Our NHS Innovation Hacks are running across the UK, with students creating their own solutions for the future of healthcare with the support of industry and academic mentors.
On Thursday the #SolentLEP funded one of our events which was hosted at Fareham College. After a morning exploring technology and healthcare challenges with #Microsoft #viasat and #Fareham College, our team challenged students to consider the different ways they believed technology could make a difference to patent safety.
Teenagers considered how they could apply #AI, #machinelearning #dataanalytics and #digitalskills to the personal, regional and worldwide issues they identified.
Along with students from across the UK, they will now be invited to develop their projects for a special showcase with NHS England later in the year to mark the 75th Anniversary of the NHS.
Huge thanks to #FarehamCollege #RajPatel,#DanielleLogan for the amazing support they provided and to their student ambassadors who were a real credit to the college, to the incredible #Microsoft team and to Andrew from Viasat.
And of course, many thanks to the Solent LEP for enabling us to work with such creative students.
