The 2020/21 school year has begun and I want to wish every Greenburgh student a successful year. I recently gave a TEDX talk to Scarsdale High School students and encouraged the students not to get discouraged with failure. I mentioned my first race for office ---I lost a race for President of the Student Council. I discussed rejections when I applied for jobs after Law School.. And how it helped me. Many people who became much more successful than will ever be I also had failures and they also learned from the disappointments and rejections. I shared examples of how failures helped Abraham Lincoln, Walt Disney, Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison become the successes they eventually became. This year's school year is going to be difficult and stressful for many students. Learn from what could have been a disappointing year. Turn what many worry will be a difficult year into the best year of your lives. If - during the coming year - your son's or daughters would like to learn more about government - we have a fantastic internship program. Students learn about government, they interact with other officials, host their own cable TV shows and do much more. If your son or daughter would like to volunteer please e mail me at [email protected] PAUL FEINER
