Brother: Bro, there’s gonna be TEDx in Nirma soon. Interested?
Me: Man, are you for real? Of course! Count me in.
(Psyched)
When is it anyways?
Brother: No clue as of now, will let you know.
Me: Thanks man. …..
(Dates gets announced, 23rd January 2016, Saturday)
Brother: Dates are in, they’ve forms online. Check it out whenever you can.
Me: Awesome! Sure, I’ll.
(Goes online, checks the form and finds they just have 100 seats for Attendees. So, they filter people by their Social Website facebook/linkedin and has two questions:
Why are you eligible?
Why should you be selected?
And my Answers to that:
First thing First, because I know the platform, TEDx’s importance. I know that if a person is approved of being a keynote speaker, he is worth listening to. But the reason as to why I’m eligible for one of the seats is, I’m always looking to seek knowledge. Be it any topic- Science, Technology, Architecture, Philosophy. Truelly said, Curiosity is the Mother of everything. Being a freelancing Architect, I challenge what I know and what I don’t. And I feel, being an enthusiast the exposure which I’ll get from the speakers will truly be inspiring, hence concluding am Eligible to attend TEDx Nirma.
Michael Jackson said,
“The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work”.
The keynote speakers, though I may not know everybody but I know I’ll learn. I want to attend because I dream, dream to become someone to go on the stage of TED and not just TEDx one fine day and face the crowd from whom one day someone else will give seminar as well.
Will finish with this,
“Reality is an Illusion, Dreaming is Reality”.
Waits for their reply.)
16th January, 2016 23:46:

Read it twice, Smiled, took a Screenshot(was reading in mobile) and sent it to brother and friends.
Sleeps well.
22nd January, 2016 21:00:
Kept a remainder for tomorrow, for THE event.
Keeping Calm.
(Psyched as hell).
23rd January, 2016 9:00 :
I reached the event, psyched and nervous as hell. I felt as if I’m the speaker.
Time, ticks.
And finally, the curtains are up. Anchors start the event and at the back of the mind, I was like “Ok, get over with your nonsense and start the event!”. They did an awesome thing. They played two TED talks which were Inspiring and Hilarious as hell. It loosed me up.
The talks started, and I listened.
Climatic changes, what are the consequences, the reasons, and how can we make it better. A great presentation, and full of demographics and stats. Solutions suggested were just real and no bluff. The stats said it all.
Astro-photographer, an amateur one. His photos were just breathtaking and I wondered, if they were an Amateur one’s how deep and dark it would be of professional one’s?
ISRO personnel, he inspired and he did inspire. The conclusion was everything is supposed to be Dynamic and we should always move on and not get stuc at out defeats. Let’s learn and use the experience and try not to commit the same mistake again and succeed.
Fusion Master, music composer. Now, he was someone I was expecting to be an average talk of. Instead he rocks and rolls not through his music composition(of course that was great as well), but by his talk. I’ve never heard musician justify his own works and give reasons as to why he does that. The way he explained the Core basics of Western music and Indian music and it’s difference and how he mixes it up(fusion) was just motivational(I’m currently working on a very challenging and new project and it gave me idea). I sketched my ideas instantaneously and knew what I’ve to do in that project. Won’t disclose much, but Western and Indian should do it.
Ex-Nirma director, all the challenges which present Education system faces and how he tried coping up with it. Something which we all think about, but he actually tried.
and few others.
After the event got over, I was like, WOW. That officially was the thing I was looking for since a long time. My trust on the TEDx event banner truelly paid off. It was awesome.
