The TED talk is out - Togethership Explained
Want to know how to create cohesive, resilient and effective teams?
Well, my TED Talk from TEDxVUAmsterdam will start you on the right track.
You can see it here: https://youtu.be/cNwctJhuOpc?si=WnMSYHJPeuz-iCB3
It was quite a nerve-wracking experience, so I'd really appreciate a like/ comment on the TEDx YouTube website. Plus give your feedback, especially where you'd like to go deeper with insights/ tips here in the Newsletter.
Maybe you can help prioritise by choosing from one of the key elements of cracking the code of Togethership:
- Bring people together intentionally
- Create space for human connection
- Build vulnerability-based trust
- Co-create what really matters
Once we have your feedback, look out for the next Newsletter later this month going into more detail on the most wished-for element.

Hey Max Hunter, somehow I had missed your TED talk but, fortunately, caught up together with some readings on leadership over holiday. Thanks for sharing the key ideas on #Togethership. For experienced managers it is not difficult picturing oneself in a meeting like that dealing with crisis or difficult moments at a company. One of the key factors though, is the leader′s will to “put her/his #skininthegame ¨ (using @NassimNicholasTaleb metaphor) together with the #team so it (the “together†part mostly) is credible. I am afraid that many times, politics/politicians take over the #leadership role and avoid risks by giving priority to charisma, smoke and empty “bla-bla†words Vs experience and resilience. In sum, I agree with 1) bringing people together intentionally, 2) creating space for human connection, 3) building vulnerability-based trust and 3) co-creating what really matters… but including the “skin of the leader†(metaphorically ??) in the “trust†part. Good food for thought, especially in these times…Thanks Max!

9 个月Good topic Max , to create Togethership in a team, I believe the main aim for every team. Having an optimized Togethership, performance of the team will follow automatically, either in production or commercial output. Through the years I've been working in many different teams with all different cultural backgrounds, cultures can vary a lot. Since I enjoy working, I re-started 1month after retirement and have currently a team of 25 people, 10 nationalities and 4 different continents. Believe me, I rarely worked in a team with so much motivation and Togethership. To me it's important is that every teammember has the chance to give input and all teammembers are respected.

9 个月Togethership, vulnerability based trust leading to co-creation... this resonates tremendously with me. Thanks a lot Max for laying it out and providing a foundation for a healthier, and more productive work environment. It takes time and effort to lead according to these principles, but it works!!!
