We believe we should work hard in order to be happy, but could we be thinking about things backwards?

This month we're reading The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor in the Mastermind Book Club .

The premise of the book is that you should start with being happy before you become a success.

Our thinking is that you need to be successful before you can be happy.

I feel so much better knowing I can be happy even if I'm a miserable failure.

Today we will discuss The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor at 11:30 AM Pacific/2:30 PM Eastern time. Catch the replay if you miss it live!

Don't worry if you haven't read the book.

Tom Ruwitch and I read it for you.

Watch Shawn Achor's TEDx talk and prepare to laugh out loud.

Ted, yep, Happiness shouldn't be tied to whether we're successful or not. I've found that enjoying the ride and staying positive makes everything better – even if things don't go as planned. Loved the article you shared, by the way.
