Ted, authenticity, and my new website.

Yesterday, I grabbed (and wore) a shirt from my closet — and I just felt uncomfortable?all day.?Although it was cute when I bought it, this shirt always fit weird, and was a little bit itchy. But it was was fine, so I just kept it in the rotation.?

Not anymore! This morning, I?put it in the donation pile — and instead reached for?my?favorite hoodie. Though it's not my typical workwear, it's authentic to how I'm feeling today. It's warm, cozy and just plain feels good. (It's also possible?tonight's TV lineup has a little something to do with it too.)

These days, I’m all about shedding things that don’t feel quite right, and moving towards things that do. This is exactly why I decided to redesign?my website.?Check it out!???

Truth is, my old site was something I put up quickly, out of necessity. It was based on a template (gasp!), and it never quite represented my business and personality the way I wanted it to (even though it was?just fine —?like that shirt).?

Ever feel that way about your marketing materials? They may be?just fine, but do they feel?authentic?
