Techtrends Zambia hosts its annual Innovation and Technology Awards for the year 2022

Lusaka, Zambia – Friday, 3 March 2023 - Techtrends Zambia, a leading technology media platform, is pleased to host its third edition of the Techtrends Zambia Awards. The awards aim to recognize and celebrate Zambia's most innovative and influential technology companies, products and personalities under the year in review - 2022.

The Techtrends Zambia Awards is an annual event that seeks to celebrate noteworthy innovations in technology that further business and information technology. The Awards also showcase advances in the productivity and potential of business applications as well as technology that contributes significantly to improved efficiency, productivity and the performance of an organisation. This year, the Techtrends Awards held at Lusaka’s Radisson Blu Hotel has multiple categories which include; Best Telco App, Tech Star of the Year, Tech Woman of the Year, Best Mobile Service Provider and Tech Start-up of the Year among others.

Speaking during the Award ceremony, Ms Sandi Chimpala, Chief Executive Officer at Techtrends Zambia, said: “Our goal is to recognize companies, products and individuals who are making a positive impact on the industry and driving technological progress in Zambia.”

Last year was yet another exciting year that saw a number of innovation and technological advancement across many sectors in Zambia. The voting came to a close on Sunday, 26 February 2023, where a committee of tech judges came together to consolidate the votes and subsequently award 27 personalities, products and corporates that have gone over and above in the use of technology and innovation in Zambia under the year in review.
