Techstars Boulder 2019 Concludes

Congratulations to all the companies that completed the Techstars Boulder 2019 Program!

This year's class consisted of 10 amazingly diverse companies: from a space company building satellite "tug ships" [Atomos] to a company selling bedsheets that everyone needs [Sheets & Giggles]. Ramp Robotics, formally TriniCorp Robotics, was one of the few selected companies to attend the program as well.

Ramp Robotics [Ramp] is modernizing the wheelchair by making a low-cost retrofit capable of going off-road, on grass, gravel, and snow. Seeing Ramp grow from a small interest group at Geekdom San Antonio to a Techstars-backed company has been far from amazing to watch. The culmination of hard work and dedication over the past 3 months along with months prior has resulted in a wonderful Demo Day pitch:

My Involvement and Thank You's

While I originally attended the program as co-founder and CTO of Ramp, there were major decisions that adjusted my role in the company. In short, my role with Ramp has officially concluded in mutual terms. Our recent separation was amicable, and I brought back lessons of personal and professional growth. Conversations and retrospectives facilitated by Techstars, namely from Natty and Julie, were much appreciated as we navigated around this transition. Nonetheless, I wish Ramp and the people there all the best in its pursuit to grow and scale.

Although this time marks an end to the program and my involvement with Ramp, there is so much to be thankful for. Thank you everyone for making my time well spent at Boulder, Colorado. Moreover, I'd like to thank all of the following contributors that has led Ramp to this point of maturity and success:

Next Steps

I am back in San Antonio and living with my wife, Tram. Just so you know, we got married in the middle of the program. I'm not the only one too- Thad from Soona also got married during the program. During my stay at Boulder, Tram has been patiently waiting for me to come back home. Moving back to Texas and living as a supportive husband is something I look forward to.

Additionally, I spun off a new business that's currently in "stealth mode" and bringing a few industry folks onboard. I'm excited about this new venture and the new relationships that I hope it brings. I look forward to revealing more about this venture as time inevitably passes. Wish us luck!
