Generative AI

In 2022, Generative AI became a viral sensation with ChatGPT, Jasper AI, and DALL-E2, and I believe that was just a beginning.

1. 2023 will be the year of the Large Language Models and Image AI. The models will be trained on a materially increased amount of data which will improve accuracy, unlock the potential of niche applications and lead to higher ROI.
2. Implementation of generative models will be the new normal for various industries. For example, Microsoft is currently integrating DALL-E2 with its Designer and Image Creator applications. Much more industries, including graphic design, paid marketing, video production will benefit from AI increasing their efficiency 2-5 times.
3. However, Generative AI copyright and - in general - AI ethics concerns will also rise. The demand for regulations will be one of the most burning issues in 2023.?

The year of Mixed Reality

Last year, Meta released the Meta Quest Pro device, which captures the real world and combines it with spatially registered virtual content. But we will be able to assess the real potential of such a device when the company releases an updated version with the software, especially since Meta is not the only one preparing for that wave.?

In 2023, HTC is scheduled to release a headset that looks even more powerful than the Meta Quest Pro. 苹果 is also cooking something special, but - the company is traditionally quite mysterious - so we will have to wait to find out more.

Nonetheless, it will be exciting to observe that race! Perhaps users will stop thinking about which elements are physical and which are digital at some point.

Quantum computing?

The quantum computing market is expected to be worth $5 billion by 2025.?

As we know, IBM is a world leader in quantum computing research and development. And in November 2022, it unveiled its latest QC, Osprey. IBM is on track to develop 4,000-qubit QCs by 2025 with a roadmap of 1,121 qubits in 2023 (Condor QC).?

Due to the tremendous potential benefits of quantum computing, numerous businesses and scientific organizations will continue to invest heavily in its development. Full-scale commercial quantum computing will begin in 2027. And companies will likely rely on growing quantum computing-as-a-service (QaaS) models.
