Technology..I hate you...

I hate you Technology..

I love you Technology..

No.. I hate you..wait..umm..no..I don’t

That’s happening to loads of us, isn’t it?

We love what technology does, its possibilities, we are in awe of it..

But we hate the negative impact it is having on our lives..

Just the thought that it can tell a third party (who has big money) if you (yes you) are a Liberal, Democrat or Republican, even though you do not like/share or comment on anything remotely related to politics is scary.

Gone are the days when it could tell if you are an introvert or an extrovert on the basis of your online activity; it now knows you more than you know yourself.

For a shopaholic like me, it lures me with those amazing target ads (I know its old, but it still works so well..gosh, I hate it)

Whether its health, manufacturing, service, technology is seeping in slowly, in every damn space of our lives.

It is taking over jobs, its taking over primary aid doctors, its taking over our, recruiter’s jobs..though humans still do those jobs better, but yeah, it is taking over..

I am not a person deep-fried into the intricacies of technology but what I know is,yes, it does wonders, does the once seemingly impossible things in a fraction of a second and we all thank the googles, facebooks and amazons of the world for making this possible.

And yes, we looooove linkedin, facebook, twitter, Instagram, snapchat and amazon, because it is so amazing and it is now difficult to go back to a life without them.

All we can hope is the big players use our information responsibly and not exploit it.

The technology is building an empire..and honestly, we do know about it..but are we aware enough to not let it overpower us?

Will it someday come be a rude shock to us?

Yes, love it because we all connect in this world and build understanding. Hate it because we lost our privacy.

A beautiful article from someone whom i remember to be technologically challenged. Good to see you finally joining us on the winning side and accept technology for what it is...

I think it will be a rude shock to us and honestly, I think it is already overtaking us to a certain degree. There are all of these articles now about what it looks like to be in a modern relationship and it shows both people having relationships with their cell phones. It is a new world order. And I object! :)
