Malaysia’s Digital Nasional Berhad created the world’s first multi-operator core network, meeting the needs of six different telecom service providers and ensuring affordable 5G connectivity for the people of Malaysia. All in just six months after its founding, thanks to the Ericsson Operations Engine.?

After this initial success, and a further in-depth trial of our new AI intent-based operations capability, DNB deployed our solutions commercially to help drive monetization, expanded business outcomes and an open route to differentiated services with distinct slices and guaranteed SLAs.?

BT’s journey toward a 5G Core?

BT in the UK leapt directly from physical to cloud-native architecture on its journey toward a 5G Core, all while successfully maintaining and improving service quality during the migration. The Ericsson cloud-native dual-mode 5G Core solution chosen by BT combines EPC and 5G Core network functions on a common platform, supporting 4G, 5G Non Standalone (NSA) and 5G Standalone (SA). The move from physical to cloud-native architecture helped BT to deliver additional capacity, efficiency, security compliance, regular software drops and automation. ??

TPG Telecom: Advanced troubleshooting improves service experience?

With Ericsson Expert Analytics (EEA), TPG Telecom gained a cloud-native and AI-powered analytics approach to troubleshooting. It pinpoints and helps resolve network issues to improve mobile network performance, and the deployment makes TPG Telecom the first operator in Australia to use EEA in a commercial network using cloud-native technologies. The system allows TPG Telecom to fix problems faster and focus on areas impacting users the most, ultimately resulting in a smoother and more reliable connection for customers. ?

Telefónica Germany’s cloud-native core journey and path to 5G SA?

Recognizing the value and opportunity presented by cloud-native and 5G SA, Telefónica Germany made a decision to replace its Packet Core network, selecting Ericsson as the partner for the project. Telefónica Germany’s goal was to modernize the network, readying it for the rollout of 5G SA and building a future-proof foundation for later technologies like 6G. Today, 45 million of Telefónica Germany’s subscribers have been successfully migrated onto Ericsson’s dual-mode 5G Core solution.?
