?Our back story: Safiery implemented our first digital switching system with wireless connectivity in 2018. Through 6 years of many trials, often using competitive brands, we identified the individual technology benchmarks needed for a major transformation. Patience is a virtue. In early 2023, the necessary technology pieces had materialized to build the holistic system we envisaged. We named our new product range “Starship” as it’s a transformation to a whole new galaxy.

“Details” requires insight from domain knowledge and a persistent examination of customer problems and requirements. Around 500 projects have been completed in 6 years. It was more “hands-in” than “hands-on” to define the problems to be solved.
?Development difficulty was high with this multi-facetted transformation. We identified 10 products needed to make a complete transformation. Our standard development method of tackling the most difficult hurdles first, did not go as smoothly as anticipated. Our Gant chart became unreadable with so many interdependencies. We follow our mantra of “Simplicity is complexity resolved”. This project has achieved simplicity above all else, the litmus test for a true successful transformation.

Wireless at it’s Core: ?
STARSHIP uses technologies such as WiFi, Matter and 802.15.4 (Long Range Bluetooth) to provide flexibility, relaibility and broad coverage.
Open Network Architecture:
STARSHIP uses compliant open standards and protocols from the Connectivity Standards Alliance. This openness facilitates easy integration of new devices, scalability of the network, and user-driven automation.? This Open Standard is supported by Apple, Google, Amazon, and Samsung. There are over 1,800 approved compatible devices making it highly adaptable for a wide range of devices and applications.
Designed for RV and Marine Environments:
RVs and boats operate a significant number of devices on DC power using Lithium batteries. They also present unique challenges for connectivity, such as movement and vibration, limited space, and exposure to harsh elements. Users can also utilise digital switching to reduce loads based on battery state of charge and forecast energy replenishment.
A great example of Transformational Technology at work is meeting the request from hundreds of users to retain functional buttons. STAR-switches themselves are simple to use, yet super smart on the inside. The user can operate all devices without a Smartphone.

Every button on any switch/keypad can be custom engraved or have custom naming.
Advanced Fuse-less Circuits - Designed for DIY Enthusiasts:
We don’t want to see DIY users torch their pride and joy. There is no fusing needed on any of the positive switched channels even if 16 AWG wire is used (1.3mm2) for a 30A circuit. Our AI Smart Mosfets open circuit in 80 millionths of a second if a short circuit is detected yet pass through motor start up surges. Less installation time, less real estate, safer installation.
Switching AC Devices – Espresso Machines and Starlink can suck power.
It’s easy to walk away and accidently leave AC devices running. Either directly turn off from your smartphone or enable automation to do it for you with an inbuilt timer or triggered by a light switch. At bedtime, Starlink can be triggered to automatically switch off.
Safiery App runs on Smartphone, Carplay / Android Auto, Nest displays
Some will say I’ve left the best feature to last. Imagine the cost savings with reduced installation time using the native touch screen in the vehicle. If you have a Victron Energy connected system, it will show most of the power and energy data. For those that prefer buttons there is also the STAR-touch Thin which can be located on the windscreen.

If you have not heard of our Award Winning high efficiency transformer-less bi-directional DC DC, take a peak here. There are 4 models: 12-24,36,48V at 125A or 250A or 24-48V at 125A. They use AI to auto-tune to any alternator extracting power to a higher voltage lithium battery bank. Turn the engine off and it reverses direction immediately.
