Technology and IT Services Help Orgs Achieve Future Trends

Technology and IT Services Help Orgs Achieve Future Trends

As I read and hear about upcoming 2024 trends CEOs have their eyes on, I can’t help but reflect on how to best serve the organizations I work with as SVP of Global Service Sales at Extreme Networks.? I’m a former numbers guy and an IT Services guy, so when I see upcoming trends, I think about how information technology and services can help. I’ve listed a few trends below:?

1.????? Generative AI:? This year we’ve heard a lot about Generative AI and how it has and will continue to impact and improve the way we work.? If you’re thinking about how to use Gen AI in your business, there are several great articles online explaining the benefits it provides. From improving customer experiences, to generating or finding content immediately, to streamlining operations and delivering meaningful insights to help guide your business decisions, Gen AI is here to stay.? Have you considered how Gen AI can help your organization save money and increase efficiencies??

2.????? Getting the most from technology investments:? Organizations who optimize the use of their technology investments and maximize the use of the features and functions available, win the day.? But businesses are constantly challenged with IT skills gaps and staffing shortages. How do you overcome these challenges?? Lean on your IT vendor or partner – use experts when and how you need them. ?Learn best practices and how other businesses, like yours, are using the features to realize business outcomes faster.? The investment is worth the value.

3.????? What is your company’s superpower: Delivering exceptional customer experiences? Unique manufacturing process?? Distribution of goods at an amazing rate and high margin?? Whatever your superpower, technology is the backbone your superpower needs to be more efficient and cost-effective.

4.????? Growing your business: ?From entering new markets, expanding market share, or optimizing business operations, technology is at the heart of helping organizations grow and achieve outcomes.? It might seem counter-intuitive, but you should make investments throughout your company’s ebb and flow, to reap the benefits later. ?I’ve read studies that show many companies who invested heavily in their IT infrastructure during down times, came out stronger and grew faster than their competitors when business resumed at normal rates.

5.????? Cybersecurity still top of mind:? CEOs are constantly worried that their organization could be vulnerable to a cybersecurity breach. Strengthening your company’s security posture comes down to the business’s risk appetite, simplifying the IT environment, gaining end-to-end visibility, training, and IT expertise to ensure the company is protected. ExtremeCloud Universal ZTNA was recently named a “Top 10 Hottest Networking Products of 2023” by @CRN. It brings together network access control, access point and switch security to help remove complexity for IT teams when it comes to managing and securing user access across the campus, branch, remote sites and anywhere. The combination of networking and security in one tool isn’t available by our competitors.?

These trends aren’t surprising; they have a few major themes: Organizations need to become more efficient, optimize operations, strengthen their security posture, and use/action on data in meaningful ways to deliver exceptional experiences to stakeholders. Technology plays a huge part in these trends and successful technology deployments help businesses achieve outcomes faster.? Let’s talk about how Extreme Networks and our industry-leading #IT Services and Support teams can help.?#networking #CEO

Great article Rob and as always, to the point. Selling more speeds and feeds, features and functionalities is not the way forward as it lands up on a comparison chart which can not be won. Understanding the desired business outcome requires a deeper and more honest dialogue and you outlined some of the agenda points above.
