The tech industry is getting more exciting and challenging, but we see people thrive and overcome these hurdles with the right support. Women are using tech to solve real-world problems and lead the next wave of technological transformation, Despite the growing number of women starting tech businesses, the industry remains largely male-dominated. At Female Techpreneur, our goal is to change this narrative. Women have the skills, the ideas, and the drive; what they often need is the ecosystem to flourish.

There is a gap - Women-founded tech startups continue to face hurdles when it comes to securing funding. In 2023, female-founded businesses received just 2% of all VC funding in the U.S. and only slightly higher in Europe at 2.7%. This is happening even though women-led businesses yield higher revenue for every pound invested. compared to men led businesses.?

These facts state that the issue isn't about lack of talent or potential for the woman but rather access to resources. These resources include: education, funding, networking & partnership opportunities, incubators (such as the Idea to Launch Incubator) and accelerators, and legal and administrative support. By addressing these areas, we are creating a level playing field for women in tech entrepreneurship, helping them fully utilize their potential

In Tech entrepreneurship, women are frequently seen as less likely to thrive in this competitive realm, despite research indicating that women founders actually excel compared to their male peers in areas like innovation and profitability.

A major challenge for women in tech aside from underfunding is being underrepresented in leadership roles, which makes it harder for aspiring entrepreneurs to see themselves at the top.?

The absence of role models and mentors can often create a feeling of isolation. However, when women have access to mentorship, their businesses are more likely to succeed. A strong support network is essential for navigating the complex world of tech entrepreneurship, from scaling a startup to overcoming cultural and industry-specific challenges.

At Female Techpreneur, we foster a supportive and inclusive environment, where no one feels they have to go it alone. How do we close the gap?

Promote Funding Initiatives: We need more women-focused venture funds and government funding initiatives that provide resources for women. We are glad to announce that Female Techpreneur is now accepting applications for - Idea To Launch Incubator, Cohort 3. which kicks off in Octobor. Connect with other females in a supportive community of like-minded individuals to access industry experts, tools, and the right network to succeed.

Build More Mentorship Opportunities: Women entrepreneurs benefit from having mentors who can guide them through the challenges of tech entrepreneurship. Creating more formal mentorship programs, like those in our incubator, is key to ensuring that women can access the knowledge and support they need.

Encourage Representation in Leadership: The tech world needs to have more women representation at the top. Diverse leadership is proven to drive innovation and better decision-making. Our programs focus on equipping women with the leadership skills they need to break through those glass ceilings.
