Technology in Indian’s Educational Landscape
Throughout my student life, it was beyond my imagination that one-day technology would take over the educational system in a country that has always been known as a poor one. In 2020, India has considered one of the top education destinations across the globe; thanks to technology! If you are thinking that I am talking about distance education, then I must say “NO”.
The distance education is indeed an outcome of technological progress in India, but the role of technology is not confined to distance education.
According to me, technology has blessed us with:
Classroom-Based Learning
I am sure you also believe that the best way to teach students is to make the lessons appealing to them. That’s why many schools and colleges have started using blackboard projector screens. PowerPoint presentations have supplanted handwritten notes. This comparatively new and engaging setup gives the students a unique experience.
Online Learning System
I can proudly say that many colleges and universities in our country have been integrating Online Learning Management System into their online portals. It enables the students to access the study materials even from remote places. Such a system is required for escalating the rate of literacy and higher education in India.
Learning through Mobile Apps
In a recent report, Counterpoint Research has revealed that India has occupied the 2nd place in the world smartphone market with more than 220 million active users. It has come up with several opportunities for providing the students with e-learning content through mobile apps.
I am eager to know what next change technology brings to the Indian education system.
