Social Networking - good or evil

Just thinking about all the scifi movies we have always watched and watched them with such an interest. I think slowly and steadily we are actually moving the society to same situation.

90% of the teenagers are addicted to Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and all all such kind of social networking tools. As already proved, this addiction is adding depression to not just teenagers but elders as well. I still cannot imagine a future where more than 50% of people are living depressed. 

I can even surely say that few not-so-good people are using it to deliberately push people to depression mode and few unintentionally. It is high time now we start thinking on avoiding such traps and live our life in ways god has given us to. This does not mean we stop progressing, however, being jealous of speed others are progressing or way others are living life is not at all human and I am sure god has not created anyone in this world to live that way.

I would also not spare people of my generation sitting like machines in a metro where 40% or more in a metro are just stuck to there mobile screens. Most of them will not even notice if something un-ethical or wrong is happening next to them. A video recently got viral where a child artist pretending to be pulled in conversation with unkown people and eating chocalates they were offered, next to a grown aduld being so involved in there own mobile phones. Sorry to say but if i am right, and if this child is kidnapped, they would not even know or notice. 

Lastly even few elders are falling in to this and if i am right, day is not far where we are nothing but slaves to technology. This also seem to have adverse affect to values. For e.g. if I say someone including me to stay with there grandparents for 2 hours, more than half of time, we will be tied to our phones. Even few parents also prefer there children stuck to phone than playing outside for n number of reasons.

This all does not mean that we don't need technology or we are not progressing by using it, this only means that we are deviating largely to fall in black holes being offered by using technology by killing humanity.
