Technology is not the future
If you say, "technology is the future" I am sorry but you are late to the party.
4th Industrial Revolution (IR4), commonly known as Industry 4.0 or Industry 4.0+, and surely other names, is catching people's attention like the "New Coke". It's not that scary and has actually been around for some time now. It’s a set of technologies you can apply to your business. You get progressively smarter as you add technologies. The development of these mechanizations has increased, as expected.
Try not to stress out after seeing buzzwords like "digital factory", "robotic process automation", "additive manufacturing" or "IoT/IIoT (Industrial Internet of things)".
Technology in the workplace, especially manufacturers, is a good thing! Cognitive and machine learning to support workers in their increasingly complex work has proved beneficial for employees, employers, and add value in the market.
The target is to achieve a significant increase in efficiency and yield while reducing waste and inefficiency.
Process automation involves using sensors, actuators, computer technology, and software engineering to help factories in several industries. Its purpose is to add efficiency and safety.
Forecasting by machine learning, material requirements planning by artificial intelligence, are just some of the ways to connect technology to your plant productions.
Factories have machines which are augmented with wireless connectivity and sensors, connected to a system that can visualize the entire production line and make decisions on its own. This gives an easy to understand summary of those machines and provide data to better understand how to optimize and plan.
Technology will continue to developed and change the way we live, work, and play. Technology is not the future; it's now.

4 年When does automation defeat itself? For instance, (random example) the mobile phone is assembled by people that earn money and buy a mobile phone, when the robot builds the whole phone the person that used to build it has no job to purchase the product. Hence automation destroys itself. We will have robots taking jobs and have nothing to do, as the consumers have no money to buy the product.

4 年I am always amazed on how many factory/warehouse/healthcare operation floors I go on and there are spreadsheets that are really running the operation (or at least vital parts of it).? Technology can deliver? breakthroughs that their business will need to remain competitive NOW.
