Dare I say the word, “2022”? This was a year of change, change that resulted in a lot of confusion as to how one should feel about, well, just about everything. After talking to people around the globe a common denominator of mixed feelings is shared. The ups were equivalent to the lows and people, including businesses, had experienced major shifts.?
Careers shifted, partnerships ended, relationships changed, and overall revenue assessments showed revenue projections were significantly overcast. This was the year that threw everyone for a loop.
Now as 2023 hits the midpoint of quarter one, we proceed with caution, still unsure of what the year will bring and how we can best prepare ourselves.?
Regardless of our recent past and rumors of an economic downturn, we can rely on one thing to help our business growth and quality. That is technology. The businesses that have boomed over the past five years are the ones that embraced technological advances and have been early adopters.? The proper use of Social Media, Online Advertising, E-Commerce, and Artificial Intelligence has added billions annually to the world of online business.?
Technology has revolutionized the way we live, work, and communicate. In recent years, regardless of economic and global challenges, technological advancements have accelerated at an unprecedented pace, and businesses of all sizes are leveraging these new tools to gain a competitive advantage.
One of the key benefits of technology is the ability to create automation with routine tasks and processes, freeing up human labor and allowing thought leaders to focus on more strategic, value-adding activities. An example of this, that has been a hot topic, is AI that can help with data entry and analysis or content creation. And while AI may not be a complete solution for human thought replacement, it is definitely a clear path forward for any growing business.?
An additional benefit to automation through AI is the consistency that it offers with client experience and deliverables. AI creates increased engagement opportunities building stronger relationships and increasing the KLT (Know, Like, and Trust) factor. You can see clear examples of this on Social Media Platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram where AI is being used to drive engagement and sales. Companies by the tens of thousands are now leveraging Social Media to reach customers in new and innovative ways, leveraging target marketing and tracking engagement to gather insight into their target market behavior.?

A slightly dated but increasingly valuable feature of technology is cloud computing. The use of cloud data and storage has been around for ages but as we see technological advancements Cloud computing evolves providing businesses with enhanced capabilities. The benefits of cloud computing is not only the storage capacity but equally important is the accessibility. Data can be easily accessed and managed from virtually anywhere with internet access. This in turn reduces the cost of needing advanced IT infrastructure, while maintaining high levels of necessary security.?
As businesses strive to stand out in 2023 the adaptation and leverage of technology will be critical. There is even controversial talk of ChatGPT, a revolutionary chatbot developed by OpenAI. This technology is going to absolutely change the way content is being created and knowledge delivered. While any AI may have its challenges, its benefits far surpass them for small business owners who are tugging at the chance to be seen.?
While I’m an avid promoter of teams, the combination of knowledge diversity through team support along with the use of advanced technology in our business can help us to sustain scalable growth even during times of economic recession, global pandemics, and world crisis.?
Businesses that embrace technology are likely to be more agile, competitive, and have an increased survival rate. When you approach technology with a strategic mindset and are willing to make the investment in time and financial contribution, technology, along with human expertise can propel your business forward.
