Technical Support Specialist - Tier III for a TX State Agency

Peak Performers is a nonprofit recruiting firm specializing in contract roles with state of Texas government agencies. We've partnered with the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to recruit for a Technical Support Specialist in Dallas, TX.

Our client

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) provides an extensive network of light rail, Trinity Railway Express commuter rail, bus routes and paratransit services that move more than 220,000 passengers per day across their 700-square-mile service area. The DART Rail System provides fast, convenient service to work, shopping and entertainment destinations in Dallas, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Garland, Irving, Plano, Richardson, and Rowlett. The TRE commuter rail line links DART customers to Irving and downtown Fort Worth.

Your role

Acts as Tier-3 Service Desk, duties include advanced/to expert deskside and phone support troubleshooting and repair of desktop/laptop/printer hardware and software. Will answer Service Desk calls, Act as escalation for lower tier service desk employees. Creates, works, and resolves service incident and catalog tickets following ITIL and DART SOP's. Other duties as assigned by manager relating to Tier-3 activities.

Your tasks

• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
• Document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems. 
• Support and maintain user account information including rights, security, and systems groups.
• Perform basic operations, monitoring, installation, troubleshooting, relocations, or maintenance of communications equipment. 
• Identify and resolve basic communications problems. 
• Prepare or assists in the preparation of service record documentation.
• Show awareness of standards and regulatory requirements related to assigned tasks.

You have:

• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office 365 products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
• Advanced to expert understanding troubleshooting computer systems and laser printers.
• Excellent communication skills dealing with all types of users from basic employee to executive.
• Current A+ certification that is not expired. 
• MCITP in Windows 10, MCSA in Office 365 certification required.
• Will not consider anyone that does not have required certifications.  
• Must have class C driver’s license, will be driving cargo passenger van (8 seat).

Project term: Beginning Asap continuing for 1 year (option to extend)

Compensation: $32.00 /ph (W2)

Work Location:1401 Pacific Avenue Dallas, TX 75202

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM
