Tech Talent offers development and upskilling/reskilling for industry advancement, whether this is sought after by employers or employees to keep up with the ever-evolving demands of the tech industry.?
Check out the benefits of upskilling and reskilling, as well as what Tech Talent has to offer.?
Upskilling/Reskilling as Best Practices?
As technology is developing and progressing more quickly than ever, so are the needs of employers. Nowadays, many employees who recently graduated in their field may quickly fall behind if they’re not keeping up with tech innovations.?
In fact, one study from the World Economic Forum reports that with all of the ongoing advancements being made, about half of all employees will need to be reskilled by 2025.?
Also, there is increasing pressure on many small- and medium-sized enterprises to keep up with the level of efficiency and production available through tech-forward business processes.?
This can be a big hurdle for organizations, especially when their existing staff does not have the necessary knowledge base. Moreover, recruiting is both costly and risky as it can result in disassembling happy teams and company culture while one has to pay more to attract obvious industry talents.?
The response to these quandaries is upskilling or reskilling in the workplace. Upskilling is about improving or upgrading employees’ existing skills, whereas reskilling refers to training staff members for a new position requiring new skills. Both are necessary and important practices for smart leaders.?
Upskilling and reskilling have also been crucial response mechanisms to the fallout from the Great Resignation. As most are leaving their jobs due to a lack of value alignment, one of the main benefits of upskilling is that 48% of workers in the US would be willing to leave their jobs for companies that offer upskilling opportunities.?
The benefits of upskilling or reskilling also include: increasing company efficiency, improved morale, saving on recruitment, as well as professional and personal development that can go a long way in team building and employee loyalty.?
About Tech Talent?

Once learners are ready to be certified (whether via Tech Talent training with us or independently), Tech Talent have vouchers available for students to schedule and take their exam at the Pearson Vue testing center.?
These vouchers can be purchased online through the websites of Pearson, Microsoft, or Cisco. Likewise, they can be purchased through Tech Talent, and for those taking the training with Tech Talent, the vouchers are included in the training and certification combo.?

Maquiladora Perceptions of the Tech Talent Program?
There is a constant amongst Tech Talent program participants; they had previously been aware of this type of opportunity in their city.?
Business leaders in the Ciudad Juarez area have previously had to send employees to Chihuahua City or elsewhere in the United States to get the same type of service, but having this resource available locally results in big savings.?
Even more than that, participants felt like they received great training and were thrilled about the availability of such a resource.?
The Challenges of Tech Talent?
The big challenge around Tech Talent has been in trying to make themselves more well known to the regional industry in Ciudad Juarez, El Paso, Las Cruces, and elsewhere in the United States.?
However, through hard work, word-of-mouth success stories, and a presence at conferences, Tech Talent has demonstrated that there is up-to-date, qualified, and cutting-edge technology personnel who can provide high-level training.?
One candidate who came from El Paso to take his Cisco exam with Tech Talent asked to be shown around Technology Hub and explained what we do here. His surprise was evident, and his comment was concise: "I never imagined that I would come to Juarez for an exam, but right now in El Paso, there is no authorized center. I never thought that in Juarez they had something of such a high level in technological matters."?
These types of experiences demonstrate that there is still a lot of work to be done. Tech Talent is a viable and useful project that provides professionals in the region with an important development opportunity for their careers and the industry.?
Technology Hub?
Technology Hub is a business innovation center located in the former US Consulate facilities that today is home to over a hundred companies like Tech Talent. Companies that make their home at Technology Hub have many different options for space requirements at different price points.?
Technology Hub is also home to Fab Lab Juarez, a digital fabrication laboratory teaching Science Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) initiatives to the general community, entrepreneurs, and SMEs.??
The Fab Lab is intended to stimulate development and support prototype production with equipment that might not normally be accessible, like 3D printers and scanners, AI design tools, vinyl cutters, laser cutters, CNC machines, and more.?
While the Technology Hub is itself a community gathering space for like-minded individuals, The Bridge Accelerator is doing even more to lift up rising talent.?
The focus of the Bridge is businesses in the manufacturing and supply chain sectors. This is because El Paso and Ciudad Juárez are part of a broader community known as the Borderplex. Manufacturers in the region purchase up to $50 billion USD worth of goods and services in 2021, but only 2% of that total actually came from the region.?
Together, we can build a better region for our businesses and our community members to thrive. If you are interested in finding out more about Tech Talent or Technology Hub, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us today.?
