Anthropic, an AI startup, unveiled Claude 3, its latest AI model family. The family includes three models: Claude 3 Haiku, Claude 3 Sonnet, and Claude 3 Opus, offering increasing capabilities. Co-founder Daniela Amodei claimed the models are twice as likely to answer correctly compared to similar AI chatbots. The models aim to set new industry benchmarks across various cognitive tasks. Redefining Object Relations: All-Seeing Project V2 Unveils ASMv2 and ReC Dataset

The All-Seeing Project V2 introduces the All-Seeing Model V2 (ASMv2) and the Relation Conversation (ReC) dataset (AS-V2) for understanding object relations in images. ASMv2 excels in perceiving objects, grasping their relation graph, and outperforms LLaVA-1.5 on the Circular-based Relation Probing Evaluation (CRPE) benchmark. Binref/Refinery - A collection of Python scripts that implement transformations of binary data such as compression and encryption, built to aid with malware triage. All scripts read from stdin and write to STDOUT, think CyberChef on the commandline.

Niche Protection

Cloudflare has launched a Web Application Firewall (WAF) specifically tailored to be deployed in front of LLMs. It currently provides DoS protection, identifies sensitive info in responses (both using existing Cloudflare features), and a detector for potential model abuses (likelihood of input being prompt injection or that it’ll lead to inaccurate or offensive output).
