- Atlantic Canadian startups like Halifax-based Axtion Independence Mobility are using grants and non-dilutive funding to offset limited venture capital. Axtion’s innovative walker with an elevating seat exemplifies this approach. Programs like NRC-IRAP and Invest Nova Scotia provide funding and mentorship, fostering sustainable growth and local economic impact.
- Montréal-based private equity firm Novacap has raised over $1 billion USD for its first digital infrastructure fund, exceeding its $750 million target. Founded in 1981, Novacap manages over $10 billion CAD in assets.
