On November 8, 联发科技 has reported record-breaking consolidated revenue for October 2024, reaching NT$51.117 billion. This represents a significant monthly increase of 14.42% and an annual growth of 19.4%. The robust performance of MediaTek’s flagship chip shipments countered the slower revenue in end-user device products, driving the company’s monthly revenue to its highest in nearly 25 months. The year-to-date consolidated revenue for the first ten months of 2024 now stands at NT$443.66 billion, an impressive 27.97% growth year-over-year.
During the recent earnings call in late October, MediaTek shared its positive outlook for Q4 2024. The anticipated strong revenue growth, led by the upcoming Dimensity 9400 flagship chip, is expected to offset some of the seasonally lower demand in the consumer electronics market. Projections for the quarter show varied performance across MediaTek’s key segments: smartphone revenues are expected to increase, intelligent device platform revenues may decline, while power management IC revenues are anticipated to remain stable.
For Q4 2024, MediaTek estimates consolidated revenue in the range of NT$126.5 billion to NT$134.5 billion, assuming an exchange rate of 1 USD to NT$31.7. This represents a potential quarter-over-quarter revenue shift between a 4% decrease and a 2% increase. MediaTek also forecasts a gross margin of approximately 47% ± 1.5%, with operating expense ratio expectations around 32% ± 2%.
