1 年Thanks for airing this important topic, Colin. Amongst other things, this sentence stood out for me: "Most of the time, technical experts sound like they’re from another planet because it’s challenging for us to understand their jargon." So true. Why do they do it? Perhaps they have a profound lack of self-awareness - they don't realise they have a problem. Or they just don't know how to solve the problem once and for all. But as you say, it's often about poor communication skills. When experts improve these skills, they'll be less inclined to resort to meaningless jargon and will finally connect with people in a meaningful way. Your Mastering Communication event may be just the thing they need.
