Tech-Enthusiasm at Polygon US

With ExactAire, IoT and Digital Solutions being the focus of today’s advancements in our vast organization, Mariam Alhalabi, IoT Operations Technician in Polygon US, is at the forefront of ExactAire’s operational side. She handles the ExactAire inventory, fulfills orders, performs inspections, and remotely troubleshoots site installations US nationwide.

Mariam has been with Polygon as an IoT Operations Technician for a year now, and in this time, she has become very invested in her work with the IoT platforms. From her university studies as an electrical engineer, she is competent in maintaining and custom tailoring the IoT platform and ExactAire product to the specific needs of customers and different projects.??

What is ExactAire and IoT?

ExactAire is a Polygon product that provides remote monitoring of various air climate conditions. It is a dynamic solution to remote monitoring and can be custom engineered to a customer’s needs.

Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the connectivity and communication that each sensor has with each other and the ExactAire platform.

Finishing a degree and working full-time?

Alongside Mariam’s work at Polygon, she is currently finalizing her electrical engineering degree at university. “I am pretty good at time management, and I like to stay busy constantly, so the work and study load have not been an issue for me”, she shares.??

Despite her busy schedule, Mariam has already made some important contributions to her team, for example, developing standardized processes and procedures for how the ExactAire equipment should be handled from an operational perspective.??

Not having been a Polygon employee for very long, she shares that she instantly noticed Polygon’s strong company culture. “Everyone is very inviting and friendly, which made the onboarding process easy. Generally, Polygon is also open to change, which is important in my opinion, to be able to develop more effective processes”, Mariam says gladly.??

An interest in tech-advancements?

Mariam is what you would call a tech-enthusiast, and IoT is one of her most prominent interests. “I think it is so cool that we are able to share such a powerful tool with our customers, as ExactAire is. We can provide incredible amounts of data, and control it however it’s needed. It’s like sharing a super-tech power, in my opinion!”, she states with a laugh.??

Apart from her work interest in IoT and ExactAire, she also has a general hobby of learning about the most recent cutting-edge technology. For example, she believes that electric cars will be the future, so she recently went and bought herself an electric Nissan Leaf, which she holds very dear. When commuting to work, she often tunes in to tech podcasts about electric vehicles.?

In her spare time, Mariam also likes to keep busy with home improvement projects, home cooking, and baking.??
