Tech Adoption Curve

Tech Adoption Curve

I was recently reminded by a friend ( Alex Southworth ) of the role that tech install/technographic or tech trends could play in analyzing tech adoption.?

An adoption curve for every technology category. Is that useful to you??

Let me dig deeper and set the tone first.

it is for each technology or tech category there is an adoption curve (eg. Innovators, Early adopters, early majority, late majority, laggards). AI has advanced enough that we can identify where companies sit on the adoption curve for each technology category.?(Reference: link)

OceanFrogs can analyze and find adoption behavior because we track the technology usage behavior of more than 32 million companies now and on 35K different technologies.

Alex opined that companies's behavior will vary depending on the categories of products (eg. They could be innovators / early adopters for marketing technology, but when it comes to engineering-related technology, such as cloud hosting, or sales technology they could be laggards).

How would you use this "tech adoption" insights ? I am interested in hearing you out.

Well, for starters, this can help you decide what companies to target. What should you expect from these early adopters? Early adopters do adopt early but they move on to other technologies as well.?

Laggards need more nurturing, more proof that it works. Hence, better approached when you have testimonials, a virality, good # of competitors or customers.

Mission 200 million companies

I am getting this question from the readers if there are 200 million companies out there. The answer is that we might not have that many. Our mission still is to get to the highest possible number. We just received 12 million companies via an agreement with an ABM platform. It would go through a de-duplication process.?

A quick update: We are at 32 million companies and tracking more than 25K technologies.

Hit me up with your views on the tech adoption curve and its usefulness to you. Check out the link below.
