Tears, breakthroughs, and a heck of a lot of words written...

When I think that I have hosted 37 retreat groups since beginning?Ultimate 48 Hour Author?back in 2016, I have to pinch myself that it is real.

What began as an idea one night in my 'Girl Cave' office at my old house in Greensborough, has become the cornerstone of our thriving authoring community that has now reached more than 550 people around the world.

The retreat is where many of the authors utilise the dedicated time to craft most of their books content as well as learning through the 7 'Teach Hours' where our team takes them through topics such as High Touch, High Tech, and High Fame marketing as well as outlining the publishing process they are about to enter.

Today is the final day of our 37th Ultimate 48 Hour Author retreat and the last two days have been a privilege to be a part of with our 15 soon to be authors turning up and playing at 100%

While there has been tears and some inner critics trying to derail some, there has also been massive breakthroughs and of course, a heap of content written with many of the authors completing their first drafts.

What Stuart and myself tend to notice very early on is that each retreat group has its own personality. We have had the 'quiet achievers', the 'social butterflies', the 'wise owls', the 'chatty Charlies' and the 'curious questioners'.

This group was definitely the 'wise owls’ and even though we had several extroverted personalities at our Cocktail Hour Party, the amount of work they get done in just 3 short days with minimum fuss was amazing.

The pre-launch campaign of the evening of Day 1 proved once again to be a favourite session with the nerves settling after the pre-sales starting rolling in after our attendees started sharing with their family, friends, and communities that their book will be back from their publishers in time for Xmas.
