Saffron started from humble beginnings, trading started as a small company in 2008, and since then our Executive Chef and Sales Manager have worked tirelessly to build up our reputation and client base, utilising their numerous years in the catering and hospitality industry. Growing to our current size has allowed us to diversify to operate into different markets.

Saffron now operate in 3 main markets - Corporate Catering, Contract Catering and Weddings/Events. Each area has a dedicated team, providing excellent customer service which we strive to exceed expectations, always serving our customers with a smile no matter what area they work in.

Our Corporate Catering division is currently a high growth market, with a strong demand for healthy eating options and the ever present demand from corporate events and meetings, we have further invested into and developed our team to cater for this rise of the corporate market.

We regularly provide businesses with corporate lunches, offering options which are significantly more than just sandwiches. We are constantly changing and updating our menus to provide the variety which our customers enjoy, whilst keeping to our business philosophy of using high quality local produce.

Our second and newest division is Contract Catering. Our team can provide a bespoke service to businesses through a number of different outlets:

- Deli retail outlets

- Coffee shop

- Staff canteens

- Educational premise canteens

- Shared office complex delis

We have experience in working with multinational companies in designing and managing staff canteen areas, so are best placed to advise on what is practical and what will make your space work. Something not to be underestimated is the personal element which is added when our team get to know their customers - it can really boost team morale as individual tastes are catered to just through normal interactions between our staff and yours.

The third area of our business is Weddings and Events. This is our original passion with tens of thousands of people attending events which we are a part of each year and in December alone we served over 20,000 people Christmas dinner.

We believe that the success of any wedding or event is down to the planning. With every wedding an experienced event co-ordinator is allocated to manage and collate all details and ensure your day runs smoothly. As part of the planning process we offer a tailor made service with bespoke food and drink menus from canapés on arrival to a wedding banquet in the evening. We always take into account of all individual tastes and dietary requirements with your ideas providing the foundation to our work.

As Saffron has grown so has our workforce. The three divisions of the business has allowed us to recruit a diverse range of people with different skills and experiences. The people at Saffron are by far the biggest achievement of the business and we are certain that it if weren’t for our team always striving to do their best we would not be award winners and one of the Midlands leading caterers.

Team Saffron is currently made up of 18 full time staff and 45 casual employees. Our team operate across the business in a diverse range of job roles varying from chefs to front of house and from keeping accounts to business development. Within our divisions we have also employed apprentices and interns providing experience and knowledge to build a career whilst also providing the business with different perspectives and challenges.

We are passionate about finding the best employees and as far as we are concerned age is just a number with our team ranging from age 15 to 72. It is our team who build the foundation of the Saffron vision. Our vision and the title of this article is something we are truly passionate about and we believe teamwork does make the dream work and this is the driving force behind what we do. To ensure our team are always working with our standards in mind we regularly hold meetings to guarantee performance goes over and above what is expected.
